Or does it runneth over? Remember that sourdough starter I mentioned? Did I mention that I really didn’t know what I was doing? Obviously I need a bigger jar; well, it got one today as I fed the yeast and cleaned up the mess they made. I get this feeling that my yeast trap errr habitat attracted them. It smells. And, well, doesn’t that just look like hundreds of yeast swooped down, feasted, and then let out a huuuuge burp? From now on this image is the image of “the yeast burp”. It should go down in history. Of course, I’m the most fascinated still…
Tomorrow I’ll bake the bread! I’m really excited, and so is my brother =) My mom has realized that we’re interested enough to add yeast to the grocery list, too, so we can use more conventional recipes for different kinds of bread. Definitely excited about that.
Knitting? You come here for knitting? What, are you crazy?
Henry, my current biggest WIP. And only needs half a repeat to be finished, although I might add another for a total of 6 repeats. Get closer to the recommended number of repeats. But seriously, who needs a 60″x8″ scarf?? So disproportionate. And yet I might get there, in order to stall finishing. I have quite a few projects in various stages of finishing, and all taking far more time than they should. I think I dislike starting and finishing projects much more than actually working on them. I am working on swatches for my next two projects so I can just cast on when this is done at least.
When I told the recipient that it was getting pretty wide unintentionally, he said, “No, you’re just remembering that I wanted it wide.” Which I am pretty sure wasn’t said before then. ;) So cute.
I too have a Henry in progress – can’t wait to see your’s finished!
It sounds like you’re more of a process knitter then product knitter. That’s really cool. :)
I was just thinking about trying sourdough! I’ve never done the starter before. I guess container choice really is key ;)
