Drive-by post part 2

I realize I still haven’t shown off the finished Corsica yet, but I have to beg you all to be patient with me (and my lack of writing). It’s all I can do these days to take good quality pictures for here (not that there’s been any SUN to help with that; far too grey and cloudy). The next three weeks are going to be harrowing, and I want my novel to be finished before then, too. (I’d love to take more time away to just write. Any chance someone could pick up my homework for me? No? Too bad…)

In any case, here’s what I’m working on right now (besides the novel and other assorted schoolwork)… It’s really addicting:

firey socks

There’s actually a short-row heel behind it. Here’s hoping the foot whizzes by as quickly as the rest of it has—it’s another Christmas gift, so as much as I’m enjoying it I will be happy when it’s done, too! I think it looks great. Just don’t look at the sides where I pulled far too tightly (please).

And look at that ribbing! So crisp! So perfect! I want to know what its secret is, so I can apply it to everything else. Because ribbing and me, we’re just not pals all the time apparently…

Anyway, lovin’ the socks. They’re squishy too. Off to knit!

Ooh love those colours! Oh speaking of knitting with lots of colours, may I ask if you know how to block things, or if you do at all? I knitting this bag a while ago and I never got around to blocking it even though I do need to. There’s lots of tutorials online but I don’t know which method really works. I don’t really want to go out and buy equipment like blocking boards and what not. Just wondering what method you use yourself, if you do indeed.

    Fancy fancy~

Sometimes I wish I knew how to knit JUST so I could make socks. That’s it. Just socks.
