Natural progression

I spent thirty-five minutes last night picking up 144 stitches for the upper half of Chunky Green.

So now there will be progress again. Until of course I finish the first few rounds of this part and have to set it aside to start the sleeves. Hopefully I won’t put that off too long, as I put off picking up stitches. This time I was smart though, and I used a smaller needle to pick them up with. It wasn’t too frustrating, just needed time.

And now for some random.

You know, I never thought of my family as animal people. Yet we joke that we have a menagerie in our small house. Well. Let’s count up and see where we get, shall we?

- 1 dog
- 2 cats
- 1 snake

Over the summer we also had a bearded dragon.

Next on our list:

- Brother wants a gecko
- Chickens! Fresh eggs for breakfast! Manure for the garden!

And our history of pet owning:

- 1 rat (that was mine)
- 4 parakeets (mine, too)
- 1 cat

What can I say? I like animals.

We have only ever had dogs. Well, besides the occational weekend visit of the classroom hampster. Growing up, two dogs (both died), then now we have another one.

And you thought you weren’t an animal family…

Waah it looks more and more awesome the further you go with it! *envy* I can’t wait to see the final product!
