The Nantucket Jacket

It ain’t Keep Yer Cool (without A/C) around here, it’s…

Nantucket Jacket, almost finished

Freeze Yer Buns, in a cute almost-finished cardigan sweater. In July. I must have poor blood circulation ’cause I freeze so easily. In fact, last week, while sitting at the pool, I complained of being cold, and speculated that it must be in the low 70s. My mom looked at me quizzically and said, “The thermometer over there says it’s 80 out.”

Uh…

Oh.

If I ever decide I need air conditioning, it will be to keep my house around 85˚F. Because anything less than that and I’m frozen. Seems I’ve forgotten how cold it was at 10˚F, and how warm 60 used to feel. Now I’m back to how I used to be: only comfortable in high temperatures.

Good thing I made an (albeit unfinished) cardigan to keep me company on these ‘cooler’ days. Sheesh.

(Project specs to come… when it’s actually finished. i.e., buttons sewn on and crochet edging finished. Hopefully that happens before it starts getting really cold…)

I’m also hibernating a bit from blog-land. I’m getting x-rays taken today and I think it’s affected my mood for the week…

I’m so glad to see you back in the blog world!!! So you’ve gotten into socks…aren’t they addicting? Love the sweater, and I finished a sweater in July…although our summer (well, June) has been on the cool side.
    Glad you’re back!

  2. My new website is up! *loud whispering* I am also going by my real name.

Anywho, I love the journal you posted an entry or two earlier. It’s so pretty! I also love this little jacket. The color is great!

Oooo! That looks so nice! I did see it a couple weeks ago before the crochet was on, but still. Don’t you just love finishing wool sweaters in the summer?
At least it’s done for winter!

That’s a really nice sweater. I hope it keeps you sufficiently warm for the winter in MPLS :)
