I’ve had kind of a ridiculous past couple of weeks: stressful, draining, emotional, difficult. I put a lot of distance between myself and my best friends for a while. And so I also put a lot of distance between myself and my blogs. Which sucks because wasn’t I going to do a weekly link post? Don’t worry, I have still been collecting links. I only hope they are still relevant.
So, let’s try this blogging thing again.
My aunt’s sweater is coming along. After the first sleeve I switched to the back. I like to get the bigger pieces over with, you know? And it’s fairly closed to finished. Perhaps that means I’ll be halfway done with the sweater? That would be pretty cool. It’s taking a while, but the pattern is so well-written that it goes very smoothly and I am still enjoying it.
I’ve also been looking at the Aidez pattern for a while as a way to use some Cascade Ecowool that I bought over a year ago in a sale. Plus, doesn’t it look cosy and great for after a day spent outside in the winter? Yes, yes it does. So recently my best knitting friend also expressed interest in the pattern, and we began a knit-along. She started hers before I started mine, so I was lucky enough to be able to ask her all the questions of what, exactly, was going on in this pattern, and how do I get started again? Hopefully we’ll keep each other on track with how it all works. It does some interesting things.
I also have a shawl that I started ages ago that’s about at the finishing stage, but I’m not working on it as much. I have a goal with most of these projects to have them finished by the end of April. Hopefully I’ll have all of them and even more done by then!

wow, your Aidez is going to be gorgeous! and here’s hoping the coming week is much much better for you.
I do love that Aidez. Glad to see you back. Hope everything’s ok.
