Handknit Clothes Day

Today’s projected high is a measly 30˚F (“realfeel” 12). This is what I look like on days like this:

brr, it's cold out

Also wearing basic stockinette socks. Brrr. It’s cold out there!

There is a fantastic bright side to this, however. It’s this cold because the sun’s out rather than hiding behind grey clouds that go on forever and keep the warmth in. And what happens in my room when the sun’s out? I get heat through my south-facing window! Loooooove it. I still haven’t turned on my heater, and my goal is to not have to until I leave for break. So days like this aren’t nearly as bad as they could be, as long as I get to stay in my room until mid-afternoon!

Also, apparently Berlin is a bar, according to my guidebook for lazy tourists. There’s something to think about.

That’s amazing! Your knitting skills are truly inspiring!

Obviously, it doesn’t get as cold at my school as it does at yours, but I’m beginning to use my hats & mittens & scarves more. I havn’t turned on my heater yet, but it’s not too cold, just wet – and even that’s not too consistent.

Argh, looks so warm! I’ve actually been looking for a warm vest/jumper with a pattern like that (is it called a cable knit?) for a while – but can’t stand the mass produced stuff you find in stores. :S

    Do you do commissions?

I don’t know much about knitting but I’ve seen other people’s work and you’re quite amazing at it!
I want your mittens! They are adorable… and purple (which is great. It’s one of my school’s colors) :)
I love sunny winter-ish days too.

Wearing all those wonderful knits makes for a great day doesn’t it?

    Very nice knits!
