Uh, yeah. No knitting lately. BSJ is frustrating (but it doesn’t seem like it’d work, I don’t wanna frog again!! oh wait, that lifeline idea is a good one…) and I am just putting off casting off Henry and casting on Brigit (which I’ve thoroughly convinced myself is the right choice—although I’m still a little worried about the lack of twisted stitches… I like the definition of twisted stitches in cables). Instead I’ve had a halfway busy couple of days doing other things.
And I spent today chatting with people and adding my thoughts to Chile’s Pet Peeves in Blogosphere. Wha? Seriously? I haven’t felt so comfortable leaving comments somewhere in ages. It’s almost like the return of the Anime Blogs. Or about three years ago. Errr, errorname? Belinda? Could one of you help me out with a whimsical name for the state of blogs about three years ago?
Anyway, I’ve been commenting like crazy and it’s been fun. So weird! I think I forgot when blogs were just fun. No given “purpose”, like “connect with the knitblogging community” or “catalog knitting projects”. Just make friends and comment and stuff. And also I think I commented more there because I DO know a bit about blogs; I’ve been hanging around blogs for about seven years now, I think. I’ve learned a bit in that time! And I guess I really only feel comfortable saying something when I know a little about it, which is why I find it hard to comment on… a lot of stuff. Like picture posts. I find it hard to comment on the thousand words a picture represents. Really hard.
It’s funny, I used to go through periods through a day where there would be words, words, and more words zooming around my head, and then all of a sudden they’d stop. This day seems to be like those. And now they’re stopped. I think it’s time to take Henry downstairs and watch Star Trek. (I’ve been getting into Voyager lately and I’m not sure why at all…) Apparently Hancock is out. Yay! I can’t wait to see it. Must look it up around here. I wonder what my family would say if I went to see it this weekend without them? ;)
I’m glad you are commenting like crazy.. even on “normal” personal sites like mine ;) Even if I can’t understand a damn word you write, I’ll be sure to check in every once in a while :d
Yay commenting! I think that’s what blogs should be about first and foremost – having fun and expressing every facet of you.
Also, yay Star Trek, though I like TNG better. :)
I am glad I was able to help you fix your BSJ. Sometimes we just need a fresh pair of eyes (and hands!) to point out what we missed.
When that happens to me, and my mom or dad points it out, I just get that sheepish look, and say something like “I knew that, I was just seeing if you knew!” in a Dexter (Dextor’s Labrortory) type voice.
Ooooh. A knitter! I’m envious. I’ve tried knitting before, but I don’t have the patience to keep it up. Actually, anything handcraftsy and I do not get along.
And blogging is fun! Well, you have to make it fun. :3 For me it’s just an outlet for my whacky brain. I guess that’s why I’ve been doing it for a long time now. :3
