A short break

Hello blog and blog-readers,

Sunbeam Soapbox is taking a short break (obviously?). I arrived in Austria on Sunday morning and classes started Monday morning. Therefore, I’ve hit the ground running. In times like this I tend to have lots of nervous energy but don’t knit or write or do anything still. I need to pick classes, go to classes, and figure out which classes I can understand. I need to pay a LOT of attention to people as they speak just to understand them.

However, in the meantime I’m trying very hard to get some photo galleries and a study abroad blog online. If that goes online before I get back to writing here, I will definitely write a note about it.

‘Til life’s less crazy – Stephanie

ETA 8 March — My landlord/roommate noticed my knitting and pointed out the wool wash to me, so I can wash those fishy socks from a while ago finally and hopefully do a FO post. I kind of suck at doing those don’t I? I think washing and blocking is my least favorite part of knitting, so I put it off as long as possible. I’m determined to wash those today though, so I’d better come back with a FO post (or two).

You know I noted via Sitemeter that I had a blog visitor from Vienna that came right in without a referring site and I wondered if you’d been on the move! What a fantastic time you must be having – enjoy!

I got your post card! Thank you, thank you, thank you! And if I ever go to Berlin, I’ll have to invite you to be my tour guide! That literally made my day. I love getting stuff in the mail.

Enjoy your break from us. You’ll have to do lots of reporting later :P

Are you kidding? If you don’t like washing and blocking, knit a shawl. Blocking does AMAZING things to lace (and usually makes your knitting softer anyway).
Thank You for the post card!!! I definitely want to do study abroad – I’ve always wanted to go to Italy. For like a year. Then I can see other parts of Europe, such as Berlin, also.
